Committee coming to get input on B.C. budget

The B.C. legislature’s finance committee will hold a hearing in Kelowna on June 12.

The hearing will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the Best Western Plus on Highway 97.

The committee travels the province seeking input to pass on to the finance minister as she prepares the provincial budget.

People can participate in person or by teleconference. Registration to reserve a speaking time opens on Monday at the committee’s website, bcleg.ca/FGSbudget.

Written, video and audio submissions can be submitted as of June 3. An online survey will also go on the web that day. Deadline for submissions is June 28.

After the Kelowna hearing, the committee will head to Kamloops for another hearing later in the day.
