Always enjoys reading about local history

DEAR EDITOR:

I was reading the history article in The Daily Courier (“Sproul family was Rutland pioneer,” Dec. 16) and wanted to mention how much I enjoy these submissions about Kelowna’s history.

I would like to give a big “shout out” to Bob Hayes and all of the other members of the Kelowna branch of the Okanagan Historical Society for these informational, educational visits to our past.

While I was not born here, it has made me feel much more a part of the fabric of this beautiful city. When we see the struggles of these early pioneers, it makes us realize our struggles aren’t as bad.

Thank you to these wonderful writers who share their love of history with us!
