“Cobra Kai” (Netflix — season premiere, Jan. 8, 2021)

The former YouTube Premium series moves over to Netflix for its third season, which finds everyone reeling after a violent brawl between their high school dojos puts Miguel (Xolo Mariduena) in the emergency room fighting for his life. Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Martin Kove, Mary Mouser and Jacob Bertrand are among cast returnees.

“Call Your Mother” (ABC — series premiere, Jan. 13, 2021)

Kyra Sedgwick (“The Closer”) returns to series television in this new sitcom from writer-producer Kari Lizer (“The New Adventures of Old Christine”), which revolves around bored and restless empty-nester mom Jean Raines (Sedgwick). Noticing that her adult children now seem to be living their best lives, Jean makes the audacious decision to move cross country and re-insert herself in the lives of her offspring, much to their dismay.
