Were you assaulted Friday in Kelowna?

-

A Kelowna man was running wild early Friday, chasing and assaulting strangers, police say. The bizarre incident played out about 10 a.m. in the area of Bertram Street and Leon Avenue in downtown Kelowna.

One victim, who police say did not suffer any injuries, was found by RCMP. But police believe others may have been assaulted.

“Our investigation leads us to believe there may be other victims or witnesses who have not come forward yet, and we are asking that they do so,” RCMP Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said.

Anyone who was assaulted, or knows about this event, is asked to call either Const. Sam Boutin or Const. Michael Gauthier of the Kelowna RCMP, at 250.762.3300.

Or they can provide the information anonymously through Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
