Whisky drinkers provide meals to the needy

-

Thirsty customers of an Okanagan distillery helped provide hot meals for almost 1,000 people.

For every bottle of Laird of Fintry whisky sold by Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery, three meals were donated to the Upper Room Mission in Vernon and the Kelowna Gospel Mission in Kelowna.

Distillery customers “like to know their purchase goes toward making the holidays a little bit nicer for those that are less fortunate,” company CEO Tyler Dyck said in a release.
