Bus ridership declines vary

-

Ridership declines on six West Kelowna bus routes due to the COVID-19 pandemic have varied considerably .

The number of people riding the Lakeview route 20 last fall was only about-one third of the ridership in the autumn of 2019.

But ridership on 97, the rapid bus line into Kelowna, was on par with previous years, as was the number of people climbing aboard the 21 Glenrosa route.

Declines of between one-third and two-thirds were noted on routes serving Shannon Ridge, Shannon Lake, the East Boundary Road area, and Bear Creek.
