Cristine Prosperi OF ‘THE WRONG PRINCE CHARMING’

- BY JAY BOBBIN ON LIFETIME

You’ve done several “Wrong” movies with executive producer and fellow star Vivica A. Fox, the latest of which casts you as a lawyer who becomes attracted to “The Wrong Prince Charming.” How do you find working with her?

Vivica is such a pro. No pun intended, but she does so many “Wrongs,” it’s right! We go back several years; I was shooting a movie called “Bring It On: Cheersmack,” and it was a big surprise when she came onto the set. That was our first movie together, and “The Wrong Prince Charming” would be our seventh, which is so crazy.

She’s an amazing person and such a talented actress, and I love working alongside her. And I look up to her. Our relationship has become not only business but a friendship, and I can always text her. It’s awesome to have that kind of a mentor in my life.

Your Lifetime movies repeat frequently. Do you have a sense of how often they’re shown?

I get tweets or texts every day about them, and on random days, people are watching them. It’s cool. It’s not just, “Oh, I’ll watch it when it premieres.” It’s so nice to see all the messages, and I never think of the exposure it gives me. People will come up to me and say, “Oh, I just saw you in ‘The Wrong Neighbor’!,” and I did that four years ago.

In recent years, you’ve made a career out of doing cable movies. Do you like going from project to project?

It’s scary not to have steady work. You’re always auditioning and looking for the next job, and Lifetime has given me such amazing opportunities. Every year, I get to do so many different things. I get to play a cheerleader or a lawyer or a wedding planner, and it gives me so much material to work with. And I get to work with some of the same crew or producers or actors again and again. I feel really fortunate.
