Wooded retreat lures writers
Writers could ply their trade in a wooded retreat this summer.
UBC Okanagan’s Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies is accepting applications for its artist-in-residence program.
The focus this year is on writers and one Canadian or international writer could win a four- to eight-week retreat this summer at the Woodhaven Eco Culture Centre.
The selected writer will be expected to spend time on their own writing and spend part of their time on public outreach. This residency includes accommodation in the large two-bedroom home as well as full use of a writing studio on the property.
Applications will be accepted until March 5. For more information on the application and the residency, visit fmcs.ok.ubc.ca/artist-in-residence.
