Garbage pickup stops in Vernon

Garbage pickup was suspended Thursday in Vernon due to snowy conditions.

Vernon residents whose garbage wasn’t picked up are asked to put it out again today at 7 a.m.

Any pickups missed today should put their garbage out again on Saturday.

Also in Vernon, a detour on Silver Star Road onto East Dedecker Road will continue on Friday. City crews were expected to take just one day to get their work done, but it’s going to take two. Only southbound traffic is affected.
