Snowbirds, try staying home

-

DEAR EDITOR:

To the couple from Parksville who chose to travel to the United States to check on their property. Surely you must have friends who live in the U.S. who would check on your property as most of us snowbirds do.

You chose to travel and should know that things might change while you were away. Most of us snowbirds decided to stay home this winter and protect ourselves, our friends and our families.

You did not. You chose to leave and you should not be exempt from the current regulations pertaining to returning home.

I do not feel sorry for you. Valerie Wood
