Stuck vehicles need rescuing

-

Search and rescue volunteers dispatched to aid stranded motorists discovered an extraction was already underway.

Two people called for help Sunday afternoon when their vehicle got stuck as they were en route to James Lake, about 10 kilometres east of Kelowna.

When volunteers with Central Okanagan Search and Rescue arrived, they discovered the motorists were already being assisted by members of a 4x4 club who happened to be in the area.

However, when the search and rescue volunteers headed back to Kelowna, they came upon another truck that had also gotten stuck. The vehicle was dislodged and the occupants were on their way.
