HOT CHOCOLATE DRIVE-THRU
Heidi Slyngbom, a volunteer with the Peachland Recovery Task Force, hands over hot chocolate to Louise MacNamara at a Valentine’s Day Hot Chocolate Drive Thru Sunday morning at the Peachland Community Centre. People could come by and pick up a free hot chocolate and make a donation if they wanted. The task force put together the event to warm people’s spirits as the COVID-19 pandemic drags on. The task force also assembled hot chocolate kits including a cup, hot chocolate mix and marshmallows wrapped in white paper with a red ribbon and delivered them to seniors in the community to make sure nobody was forgotten on Valentine’s Day.
