“Movie: Rocketry: The Nambi Effect”

From India comes this 2021 biography of Indian space scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused of being a spy and arrested in 1994. Freed, he fights with his accusers to clear his name. Madhavan (“3 Idiots”) co-directs and stars as Narayanan, in a cast with Arnaud Humbert, Jack Dimich and Hugo Alejo.

“Movie: The Secrets We Keep”

Noomi Rapace (“The Girl Who Played With Fire”) stars as a woman in post-World War II America who kidnaps a neighbor she believes committed heinous war crimes against her in this 2020 drama from writer/director Yuval Adler (“Bethlehem,” “The Operative”).

Joel Kinnaman (“For All Mankind”), Chris Messina (“Argo”) and Amy Seimetz (“Pet Sematary”) also star.

“Movie: The Sunlit Night”

The same-named novel by Rebecca Dinerstein served as the basis for this 2019 internationally co-produced drama movie about an aspiring painter (Jenny Slate, “Obvious Child”) who heads off to Norway to find herself and meets local eccentrics and a fellow New Yorker (Alex Sharp, “The Hustle”) while working on a barn. Zach Galifianakis and Gillian Anderson are also in the cast.

“Movie: Ishq”

This 2019 feature from India morphs from romantic drama to thriller as it tells the story of two young people (Shane Nigam, Ann Sheetal) who try to find joy after they after they lose out on love. Shine Chacko and Leona Lishoy are also in the cast for first-time director Anuraj Manohar.
