She has performed as guest soloist with other major orchestras world-wide, and as a recitalist she has visited many of the world’s capitals. Tai Murray plays a violin by Tomaso Balestrieri fecit Mantua ca. 1765, on generous loan from a private collection.

Also a recipient of an Avery Fisher Career Grant, and winner of the Naumburg and Geneva competitions as well as the 2016 Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award, he has in recent years appeared with many symphony orchestras in addition to performing recitals and chamber music.

He has performed widely in the U.S. with the Lincon Center’s Chamber Music Society, and internationally at Wigmore Hall, the Lucerne festival, and the Munich Gasteig. He has

appeared in concert with the Emerson, Pacifica, Orion, St. Lawrence, Ebène, Danish, Miró, Daedalus, Escher, and Borromeo Quartets. Currently, he is Principal Pianist of Camerata Pacifica, a member of the Swiss Chamber Soloists, and a member with Ida Kavafian and David Jolley of Trio Valtorna.

The program will begin with 3 Romances, Op 22 by Clara Schumann, and will include the 2003 Passacaglia by Arvo Pärt which was initially composed for the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition. The program will conclude with the outstanding Grand Duo in A Major by Schubert. It will be an evening of great music in the hands of true masters of their art.

The concert is the fourth of five in Chamber Music Kelowna’s 2023-24 season. Tickets are available online through the RCA website at rotarycentreforthearts.com, or at the RCA box office. All CMK Main Series performances begin promptly at 7:30 p.m.
