rock n’ Bowl Fundraiser: Come out for a fun night of bowl­ing. Satur­day, Sept. 15. All funds raised will go to­wards the Tim­mins High and Vo­ca­tional School Blues bas­ket­ball teams. $25 per per­son (in­cludes un­lim­ited bowl­ing from 7-9:30 p.m., shoe rental and taxes) To re­serve a lane of 4 or more, call Mid-town Bowl at 705-267-3500. Walk-ins are wel­come. Hor­ti­cul­tural so­ci­ety: Tim­mins Hor­ti­cul­tural So­ci­ety’s Fall Plant and Bake Sale will be held on Satur­day, Sept. 15 at 589 Nor­man St., Moun­tjoy from 8:30 to 11:30. Hardy and re­li­able peren­ni­als, home­made pre­serves and bak­ing will be sold. Free gar­den­ing in­for­ma­tion is avail­able. All are wel­come. char­ity event: The Tim­mins and District Hu­mane So­ci­ety is host­ing its an­nual doggy/car wash with bar­be­cue fundraiser 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is hosted by Kia of Tim­mins lo­cated 1285 River­side Dr. Come on out and get your car and dog washed. The cost is $10 for a car wash; $15 for a small dog and $20 for a large dog.
