LIGHTING: Community Christmas Tree Lighting taking place at the Timmins Museum, 325 Second Ave. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mail your letter to the North Pole, say hello to Santa Claus and sip on a cup of hot chocolate.
PERFORMANCE: The Timmins Symphony Orchestra’s Geoffrey James Lee School of Music’s Adult Concert band will be putting on a free Holiday Performance at the Timmins Public Library beginning from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. All ages welcome to attend. No registration needed. You can also learn more about the symphony, the music school, and the adult concert band program during the concert.
TOY DRIVE: The Cochrane District EMS and Staff from the Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board will host their Annual Holiday Toy Drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Canadian Tire (2199 Riverside Dr.) and Walmart (1870 Riverside Dr.) parking lots in Timmins. Help us stuff an ambulance with new unwrapped toys and fill a crib with hygiene items, clothing and toys for babies. Items collected from the toy drive will be distributed through the North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services’ Christmas Angel Campaign to help bring joy to children and youth (0-18) in our community this holiday season.
