LIGHT­ING: Com­mu­nity Christ­mas Tree Light­ing tak­ing place at the Tim­mins Mu­seum, 325 Sec­ond Ave. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mail your let­ter to the North Pole, say hello to Santa Claus and sip on a cup of hot cho­co­late.

PER­FOR­MANCE: The Tim­mins Sym­phony Orches­tra’s Geoffrey James Lee School of Mu­sic’s Adult Concert band will be putting on a free Hol­i­day Per­for­mance at the Tim­mins Pub­lic Li­brary begin­ning from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. All ages wel­come to at­tend. No reg­is­tra­tion needed. You can also learn more about the sym­phony, the mu­sic school, and the adult concert band pro­gram dur­ing the concert.

TOY DRIVE: The Cochrane Dis­trict EMS and Staff from the Cochrane Dis­trict So­cial Ser­vices Ad­min­is­tra­tion Board will host their An­nual Hol­i­day Toy Drive from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Cana­dian Tire (2199 River­side Dr.) and Wal­mart (1870 River­side Dr.) park­ing lots in Tim­mins. Help us stuff an am­bu­lance with new un­wrapped toys and fill a crib with hy­giene items, cloth­ing and toys for ba­bies. Items col­lected from the toy drive will be dis­trib­uted through the North East­ern On­tario Fam­ily and Chil­dren’s Ser­vices’ Christ­mas An­gel Cam­paign to help bring joy to chil­dren and youth (0-18) in our com­mu­nity this hol­i­day sea­son.
