CELEBRATING FIFTEEN YEARS VANCOUVER AND NEW YORK

Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY was founded in Vancouver in 2005 by Joshua Beamish, artistic director, then expanded to New York in 2012. The contemporary dance company has performed with several presenters in Canada including Tangente, Made in BC and Dancing on the Edge. International credits include a choreographic residency with the Djerassi Program in San Francisco and selection by Cirque du Soleil to perform at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.

“Our current global situation has shown me that what I love most about directing is the way it allows me to facilitate the gathering of artists who may have never entered the same room otherwise. I look forward to our next fifteen years with hope and belief that we will gather again soon,” says Beamish.
