Dance Ontario Dance Weekend
JANUARY 23-24 JANVIER ONLINE
This year, Dance Ontario’s annual two-day festival will be held entirely online. The weekend will include dancefilms, performances, minidocumentaries, workshops and special online creations. “The weekend highlights specifically the breadth of dance practices that are found in Toronto,” says Amy Hampton, executive director of Dance Ontario. The organization has also commissioned two world premieres, from Rodney Diverlus and Matthew Cuff. Diverlus’s work will incorporate jazz, contemporary, Afro-diasporic dance forms and physical theatre. Cuff’s work Chromatic will be the first time the festival has included vogueing.
