Circus is fun. It seems obvious, right? Spectacle is pretty relevant to the art form. While writing this article and speaking with circus lovers and practitioners across Canada, I was taken with the sense

of play and curiosity that informs the artistry. It’s easy to lose yourself in the joy of circus. And why shouldn’t we? Maybe I’ll close the laptop and give it a try myself — or at least find a good seat in

the crowd, with a view of the highwire. Maybe you will too.
