Readers Corner
If you’re quick, you’ll catch a special show in the Western GM Drumheller Art Gallery. For the first two weeks of May, you’ll find the work of Margaret Deem, one of our own Drumheller Public Library staff members until she retired earlier this year. You may have seen some of Margaret’s work in progress at Art @ the Library here on Saturday mornings, or even taken her gesso transfer class last year. If you want to see what she’s sharing with the public, though, you’ll have to come see it in person! You may not be ready to fill a gallery, but if you’re interested in exploring your artistic side, you’ll find lots of help at the library. Join us for Art @ the Library on Saturdays, or Crafternoon on Wednesdays (for those 11 and younger). Our art section in the stacks is growing, with books on a variety of art forms. If you’re looking for something specific we don’t have on the shelf, check the library catalogue or ask our staff – if it exists, we can almost certainly bring it in for you!
For more information on programs, events and services at the library, visit our website at www.drumhellerlibrary.ca, or call us at 403-823-1371. We’re also on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest!
