We have been getting some tremendous rain showers lately. Dave Daly told me he has had over 7 inches of rain since the May long weekend. The trouble with that is the mosquitoes are now out in full force.
There is a Community Bridal Shower for Dara Calon on June 18 from 1:00-4:00 at the Cretaceous Conference Centre. Those attending are asked to bring a copy of their favorite recipe to share with Dara. Everyone is welcome.
Congratulations to Linda Adams, this week’s Munson 300 Raffle draw winner from Saturday, June 11. Thanks for buying a ticket. All the names drawn go back in to the barrel. I wonder how long it will be before we have a repeat winner.
The big count down has started for school. Where did the year go? Diploma exams have started and field trips are well underway and graduation is scheduled for June 24.
Don’t forget to take in the Father’s Day Breakfast in Rumsey on June 19 at the Agriplex from 9:00-12:00 am. The Drumheller and District 4H Exchange Group are cooking up a delicious breakfast to support their exchange trip with a group of 4Hers from Ontario. The group from Ontario will be here in early July and our group is heading to Ontario at the end of July for 10 days. A 4H exchange is an incredible opportunity for the members to learn and experience the lives of other 4Hers in other provinces.
Also, mark your calendar for the Annual Rumsey STARS Ride on August 7 this year.
The last few items have been salvaged from the old hall preparing for demolition. Thanks to the many hands that made light work this past Sunday.
Last week was Senior’s Week, hug a senior or make them smile. They have done a lot for all of us over the years.
Have a great week.
