The travelling art exhibition is back at Rockford Library until February 22. When We Were Young features the work of five female artists from Medicine Hat. The works explore the innocence and joy of childhood, relationships with siblings, and the unexpected and sometimes traumatic experiences of youth. The exhibition is courtesy of the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre, and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.
Calling all photographers! Join Rockyford Library for a free photography workshop on February 11 from 10:30 ‘til 2:30. The photography lighting workshop is facilitated by Medicine Hat native, Kat Valenzuela, courtesy of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre in Medicine Hat. Sign up for the Drum Circle at the Rockyford Library, February 21, from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Enjoy this unique opportunity to experiment with different drums and percussion instruments, and play with rhythm. This event is free and open to all ages but does require pre-registration.
