Drumheller Co-op gives back to com­mu­nity in big way

On Fri­day ,Jan­uary 27 Brent Walker, Gen­eral Man­ager for Co-op, pre­sented many or­ga­ni­za­tions dona­tion cheques from funds raised through the til tape pro­gram. David Friesen, Con­troller from the Coop, said, “We gave to 41 groups in to­tal. Cheques ranged from $11 to $1,089 with a to­tal of $13,853.13.” Drumheller Co-op has been giv­ing back to the com­mu­nity through the till tape pro­gram twice a year since 2000. Their year to date dona­tions to the com­mu­nity through this pro­gram is over $300,000. “Any groups that are apart of the pro­gram ac­cept the till tapes for them to to­tal and bring in twice a year. We have been very happy with the pro­gram so far.” said Friesen.
