Being a good 4Her and ha ving sp ent man y hours cleaning dit ches dur ing highway cleanup I have to admit the trash along the roadways nearly drives me crazy. I t is he art breaking to see in such b eautiful c ountries that t hey don’t handle t heir g arbage b etter. I r ealize t hey ha ve bigger problems but it shows how each of us c an make a diff erence to make our own country better.

Rockyford is als o home t o the t hree da y Ro ckyford Rodeo which is a part of the FCA rodeo cir cuit. Ro ckyford’s Mayor D arcy J. Bur ke said 2017 will the 60th anniversary of t he Ro ckyford Ro deo. A s part of t he c elebration t here will be special events planned in the community.
Mayor Bur ke said, “The r odeo t akes a bunch of volunteers from the community, it’s a g reat community pr omoter. It showc ases our r ural r oots and our c ommunity. I am r eally proud that it’s 60 years for the Rockyford Rodeo.”
2017 w ill b e Ro ckyford’s third ann ual Bull-a-rama a s part of t heir Canada Day Celebration. Mayor Burke felt the 2016 Bull-a-rama w as a suc - cess when t he amoun t of a ttendees doubled from the year before.
