Munson Mail
It seems that the white stuff continues to fall. One of these days it will warm up, it is certainly nice to see the green grass and the trees budding out.
Thinking of warmer weather, it looks like the Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club fundraiser was a lot of fun and a big success. Good job everyone.
Lucky winner of the Munson 300 Raffle Draw on April 22 was Dan Tremblay. Congratulations Dan and thanks for buying a ticket.
Thanks to everyone who supported the Morrin 4H Multi Club electronics, bottle and battery drive on April 22. They were busy sorting the items on Saturday and it looked like they received quite a pile of stuff. This Wednesday, April 26 at 6:30 is the 4H Achievement Night where the members show off their projects and activities for the year. Good job to everyone involved throughout the year.
There is still time to book your table at the Munson and Area Community Association com- munity garage sale on April 29 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. Set up will be Friday evening. You can rent a table and bring your stuff in for the day. There will be cinnamon buns and coffee for sale to enjoy while you are browsing. If you have any questions please give Terra a call at 403-823-4510.
Condolences from the community to the Bremer family on the passing of Al Bremer of Morrin. Al has been a face of the community for as long as I can remember. He and Eleanor were seen at every function and event through the years. I know his family will miss him very much and I hope you find comfort in knowing what a big part he had in the community and surrounding area and how much he was appreciated. He will be missed. There will be a celebration of life at the Morrin Community Hall on May 20 at 2:00 pm. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sorry I missed putting this in a couple of weeks ago but congratulations to Randy and Jessica Sharpe on the birth of their little girl Kate Ellen who was born on April 3. Big sister Rachel will be excited to have a playmate. Great Grandma Ellen would be just thrilled with her name sake. All the very best.
April 23 – 29 is National Volunteer week. Take some time to give a personal thank you to the people who volunteer to make your world a better place. The people who help with activities at the seniors lodges in our community, the people on volunteer boards who give their time and energy like the Golf Course and community associations, the leaders and coaches who dedicate their time to help with children activities setting examples for our youth. The volunteers don’t give of their time for notoriety, they work hard for the benefit of the people around them, our communities and our province. We have remarkable volunteers in our communities and I thank them.
Enjoy your week, thank a volunteer and be kind to one another.
