The long weekend weather was more than any of us could have expected. We did a bit of travelling on the weekend and I must admit I have never seen combining, baling and seeding happening all in the same day before. I hope most of the farmers are getting seeding wrapped up. We sure are in better shape here than in other parts of the province.

You have heard of winning streaks before well Mary and Randy James have one very lucky ticket. They were the big winners again of the Munson 300 Raffle Draw on May 20. This is number three for them. Maybe they better go buy a lottery ticket! Congratulations, Mary and Randy.

The performance for the Missoula Theatre was by all accounts a huge success and enjoyed by all who attended. Thank you to the Morrin School parent council for bringing the program to our school.

There will be a memorial service for Sylvia Kempling on Thursday, May 25. Unfortunately, I do not know any other details at this time. Our condolences to Stephen Kempling, Loralee Dedul and family.

Please mark on your calendar the Annual General Meeting for the Morrin School Parent Council is on Tuesday, June 13 at 7:00.

The flowering trees have sure put on a show over the last few weeks. Sadly the blooms are now blowing away. I’m a little afraid of all the fruit those trees will bare come this fall.

Have a good week, and smile to those you meet. It might be the best thing that happens to them that day.
