On Sunday, May 28, the Dinosaur Trail Country Club will partner with Canada 150 ParticipACTION Playlist for a Community Golf Day.

There will be an all-day BBQ sponsored by the Canada 150 Committee and a cake cutting at 3 p.m. It will only cost $5 for nine holes throughout the day and everyone is invited.

“It’s a very good initiative because it’s like Golf Canada promoting a golf day and it fits in with this Canada 150 ParticipACTION,” said Councillor Tom Zariski.

Zariski encourages community members to come out despite the country club title.

“We’ve got to get people in this community thinking of that golf course as their golf course,” said Zariski. “It’s a rural golf course just like every other golf course.”

Looking back, the Country Club did a similar function last year and it was claimed to be ‘ the most popular day at the golf course for all of last year’.

“We thought we would sort of piggyback on all three of these things,” said Zariski.

The golf course will be open all day long to anyone willing to learn or brush up on their skills.
