Diabetes can cause nerve damage and poor blood flow or circulation to the legs and feet. Thus, people with diabetes are less likely to feel a foot injury, such as a blister or cut. Diabetes can make these injuries more difficult to heal. Unnoticed and untreated, even small foot injuries can quickly become infected, potentially leading to serious complications. A foot care clinic is offered every six weeks at the Senior’s Centre. The next date available is Thursday June 15. Please contact Donna at 403 644 3849 for more information.
