Mitch, Rhonda Cade and Abbey Treacy along with Shae Lane and Gunnar Raycroft, returned from a trip to Kauai, staying in Poipu. During their time on the island, they spent some time in the ocean, went on a Catamaran cruise, went on two spectacular hikes. One being the Awaawapuhi Trail by Waimea Canyon and another on the North shore called Hanakapi ai Falls along the Na Pali Coast. Enjoyed some social time with the Muller’s and Christensen’s who were staying nearby. Had beautiful weather and a wonderful time was had by all.
The Stitch and Chat ladies gave away 27 afghans of all sizes in 2017 and continue to make more. Please remember if you have wool that you aren’t using and want to donate it to a good cause, they will surely welcome it.

Corey Sandum hosted a group of ladies for her annual Christmas Craft day before Christmas. It was a great day making ornaments and having a great visit with some wonderful ladies!
The Hussar Hall Maintenance Board would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers that helped out with the Casino on December 30 and 31.
A large group of community members rung in the New Year at the curling club. There were lots of games played, skating and visiting.

Last week Gordon Schaffer, Brian Sayer, John Jensen and Ben Armstrong went to Calgary to play in 4 card tournaments. When you see John be sure to call him his new name “Bubble Boy”! Good time was had by all.
