Congratulations to the Rockyford Roughnecks PeeWee hockey team on winning gold at their home tournament on January 21. With 10 minutes remaining in the third period, the Roughnecks were down 2-0. Landon Brindle got the team going by scoring the first goal with Troy Semeniuk tying it up with seconds to spare. After a four on four overtime, it went to a shoot out. After five shooters for each team and once again Cremona up by one, Rhett Gregory shot and scored, tying it up. Hudson Gregory, their amazing goalie held off two of their shooters allowing Colten Best to score the winning goal. The Roughnecks didn’t give up and ended up winning the gold medal. Way to go Roughnecks! Picture courtesy of Sandra Best.
