Former ATB employee pleads guilty to fraud
A former ATB Financial employee in Drumheller pleaded guilty to all charges of fraud in provincial court.
Rebecca Tucker appeared in provincial court in Drumheller on Friday, February 23. She is facing 16 counts of fraud under $5,000 and 13 counts of drawing documents without authority. She pleaded guilty to the charges.
It is alleged, according to a police release, that between November 2015 and November 2016, an employee of the Drumheller branch of ATB made unauthorized withdrawals from the accounts of seven different bank clients. All the victims were seniors and more than $40,000 was taken through 16 different cash withdrawals. Charges were laid in August of last year.
The judge presiding ordered a pre-sentence report, and sentencing has been scheduled for Friday, June 8.
