Wheatland Crossing School Grade 3 and 4 students enjoyed a sleepover field trip to the Tyrrell Museum on Monday, June 4. The 51 students and 10 chaperones enjoyed the two days where they learned about the history of the badlands on a hike outside. Students also learned about raptors and built raptor arms; played a game about Alberta, made fossil casts, and went swimming at the newly renovated Drumheller Aquaplex. The field trip was made affordable to the students with the wonderful donations from the Standard Lionettes, Hussar Historical Society, Hussar Sundowners, and Gates Agencies. Thank you for your support! It was a very memorable experience. It was many of the student’s first sleepover experience. The staff would like to thank all the chaperones who joined us as well as it made the trip so much easier to look after everyone’s needs!
