In 2011, Carlie died of viral encephalitis after a work exchange/travel adventure in New Zealand and Australia.

I’ve come so far out of my shell -I’ve grown as a person because of 4-H.” Always willing to help out at Club, District and Regional 4-H events bringing enthusiasm, organizational ability, warmth and friendliness to encourage fellow 4-Hers to get involved and learn new skills.

The 2018 Carlie Bell Memorial Scholarship goes to Danielle Varga. It was presented to Danielle Varga of the Morrin Multi Club by Quinn Nelson, past 4-H member of the Drumheller District.
