There are a lot of people trying very hard to create and maintain a high standard of appearance around town, with flowers, benches etc., and then there seems to be many who don't care about cleanliness or for that matter, anything at all.
We are speaking about the mess left every day by people who choose to discard waste products in the parking area between ATB Financial, and Canadian Tire. (Neither of these corporate citizens are at fault here, they just lease the space they occupy and provide a nice spot to watch the traffic go by).

Saw Steve Hucaluk, Curt Blanchett and Ed Caswell chatting outside the post office the other day, and they must have been planning something big, because Ed was there to make sure they did it right.
We see the Town of Hanna has purchased, swapped, traded, their present public works shops in town, for the former Alberta Transportation shops on the south side of Highway 9, across from Hanna Motor Products. Don't know all of the details, but probably a good move for them considering they had plans underway to build a new building. They paid $500k plus their present building to the owner, who will move into the town's present shops.
Our personal congratulations to all the great people out at Dalum, celebrating their 100th anniversary this weekend. We spent a lot of time out there growing up and made a lot of friends, and trying our best to get a date, without much luck most of the time.
They have a lot of great memories, and we hope there is enough time during the celebration to remember them all.
