Doll show doubles in second year
The annual Doll Show and Sale at the Greentree Mall saw its success grow in its second year.
Linda Schuler of the Valley Doll Museum hosted the show last year to celebrate her business’ 10th anniversary. It was such a great event she held the second one on Saturday, August 11 at Greentree Mall.
She said this year there were twice the number of visitors and twice the number of vendors. There was representation from the doll clubs from Calgary, Edmonton, and Saskatoon.
There were dolls of all sorts at the show, from antique porcelain to modern and collectible Barbie Dolls. There were also all kinds of accessories from clothes to doll houses, and many were handmade.
She said there was great feedback from vendors and many said the show is a great way to bridge the gap between major shows, with this midsummer event.
In its second year, the Doll Show and Sale hosted by the Valley Doll Museum saw twice the number of visitors and vendors.
