Smoke blankets Drumheller valley last week

The Drumheller Mail - - NEWS -

Drumheller suffered extremely poor air quality over the last week as over 545 wildfires in B.C. covered much of the province in heavy smoke. The air quality index for Calgary and Edmonton hit 10 with Environment Canada issuing special air quality statements for much of the week. Because of the fires Calgary has had the smokiest year ever, with over 313 hours of smoke filled air in the year – barely beating out 2017.
