School has been in full swing in Delia for over a week now, it is nice to hear the kids at play at re­cess, seems like our Vil­lage is back to nor­mal, it al­ways seems so quiet when school is out for the sum­mer.

Com­mu­nity in Bloom is still look­ing for vol­un­teers-these are the good peo­ple who planted and tended the beau­ti­ful flower pots around our Vil­lage.

You may con­tact Clare Car­son at 403 364 2265 to find out more about this or­ga­ni­za­tion. Their next meet­ing is at the Delia United Church at 2 p.m., on Wed­nes­day, Septem­ber 12.

The Delia Drop In Cen­tre will hold their first meet­ing of the fall sea­son on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 13, at 10 a.m. On Thurs­day, Septem­ber 20, pot luck will be held at the Drop In at 12 noon sharp. This will be a stew lun­cheon, so join us for stew, ev­ery­one wel­come.

Don’t for­get Bingo, spon­sored by the Delia Elks, ev­ery Tues­day night at the Delia Com­mu­nity Hall. Doors open at 7 p.m. Bingo starts at 8 p.m.

It’s get­ting to be that time of year again, on Fri­day, Novem­ber 2, the Flu Clinic from Hanna, will be at the Delia Drop In Cen­tre from 11 a.m. un­til 2 p.m. Mark it on your cal­en­dar.

The Delia School En­hance­ment So­ci­ety will hold their next meet­ing on Septem­ber 19 at 7 p.m. in the Delia Drop In Cen­tre, come with your ideas and sug­ges­tions for the en­hance­ment of Delia’s new school. For more in­for­ma­tion call Am­ber Mar­shall at 403 854 6131.

Get well wishes and prayers go out to Terry Trefz who is fight­ing a se­ri­ous bat­tle with great courage and de­ter­mi­na­tion. Hugs and prayers, Terry!
