The an­nual Rock­y­ford Curl­ing Club’s Oys­ter Sup­per is be­ing held at the com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 25 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Ev­ery­one is wel­come to at­tend.

Hand in Hand Strath­more Par­ent Link and Rock­y­ford Li­brary in­vite par­ents/care­givers and their new­born to 6-yearolds to par­tic­i­pate in Let’s Grow To­gether. En­joy play, songs, rhymes, ac­tiv­i­ties, and sto­ries to­gether. Ac­cess in­for­ma­tion and re­sources to help your child de­velop on track in the ar­eas of: fine mo­tor skills, gross mo­tor skills, prob­lem solv­ing, so­cial emo­tional de­vel­op­ment, and speech & lan­guage. This free pro­gram runs for only three more weeks, on Thurs­day af­ter­noons from 12:45 un­til 2:15, Oc­to­ber 11/18/25. Our spe­cial guest at the Oc­to­ber 11 ses­sion will be San­dra Southam, a speech pathol­o­gist. Then, on Oc­to­ber 18, we are de­lighted to have Jodi from Shin­ing Stars share a demon­stra­tion of one of her mu­sic pro­grams.

You can bring home your own “Pump­kins at Mid­night” can­vas from the Rock­y­ford Li­brary’s Paint Night in the Vil­lage, Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 24, 7:00 p.m. Regis­tra­tion fee cov­ers the cost of all of your sup­plies and some in­struc­tion. You don’t need any pre­vi­ous knowl­edge or ex­pe­ri­ence to join in the fun. Please reg­is­ter in ad­vance at the Rock­y­ford Li­brary (403-5333964) as space is limited.

Learn ba­sic com­puter func­tions, skills, and terms at Wheat­land Fur­ther Ed­u­ca­tion So­ci­ety’s Begin­ner Com­puter Skills ses­sion over two evenings at the Rock­y­ford Li­brary. The two classes will be on Oc­to­ber 18 and 25, from 6:30 p.m. un­til 8:30 p.m. A cer­tifi­cate of com­ple­tion will be pre­sented to par­tic­i­pants who com­plete both evenings.
