Holistic Yoga with Gina Champigny is returning to the Rockyford Fitness Center starting on Thursday, October 25 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. and runs for seven weeks. This class will stream through asanas (poses), incorporating breath work to integrate your body, breath and mind to lead you to a better state of health and well being. The first home tournament for the Rockyford Roughnecks hockey team will take place November 9 - 11 with the Bantam team hosting.
The Rockyford Friendship Center is having a Christmas Tea on Saturday, November 24 from 2 - 4 p.m. There will be a craft table, a bake table and a silent auction. Everyone is most welcome to attend.
Hand in Hand Strathmore Parent Link and Rockyford Library invite parents/caregivers and their newborn to 6-yearolds to participate in Let’s Grow Together. Enjoy play, songs, rhymes, activities, and stories together. Access information and resources to help your child develop on track in the areas of: fine motor skills, gross motor skills, problem solving, social emotional development, and speech & language. This free program runs for only two more weeks, on Thursday afternoon from 12:45 until 2:15, October 18/25. On October 18, we are delighted to have Jodi from Shining Stars share a demonstration of one of her music programs.
You can bring home your own “Pumpkins at Midnight” canvas from the Rockyford Library’s Paint Night in the Village, Thursday, October 25, 7:00 p.m. This registration fee covers the cost of all of your supplies and some instruction. You don’t need any previous knowledge or experience to join in the fun. Please register in advance at the Rockyford Library (403-533-3964) as space is limited.
Learn basic computer functions, skills, and terms at Wheatland Further Education Society’s Beginner Computer Skills session over two evenings at the Rockyford Library. The two classes will be on October 18 and 25, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. A certificate of completion will be presented to participants who complete both evenings.
