Holis­tic Yoga with Gina Champigny is re­turn­ing to the Rockyford Fit­ness Cen­ter start­ing on Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 25 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. and runs for seven weeks. This class will stream through asanas (poses), in­cor­po­rat­ing breath work to in­te­grate your body, breath and mind to lead you to a bet­ter state of health and well be­ing. En­joy the med­i­ta­tion and re­lax­ation at the end to pre­pare you for your week. To reg­is­ter, please call Frances 934-4343 or Cathy 533-3860.

Con­grat­u­la­tions to the Rockyford Lions Club on win­ning Rodeo “Com­mit­tee of the Year” at the Foothills Cow­boy As­so­ci­a­tion Fi­nals this past week­end in Red Deer. A well de­served win for Arena Di­rec­tor War­ren Kalb­hen and his ex­cep­tional crew.

The first home tour­na­ment for the Rockyford Rough­necks hockey team will take place Novem­ber 9 - 11 with the Ban­tam team host­ing.

The Rockyford Friend­ship Cen­ter is hav­ing a Christ­mas Tea on Satur­day, Novem­ber 24 from 2 - 4 p.m. There will be a craft ta­ble, a bake ta­ble and a silent auc­tion. Every­one is most wel­come to at­tend.

Hand in Hand Strath­more Par­ent Link and Rockyford Li­brary in­vite par­ents/care­givers and their new­born to 6-yearolds to par­tic­i­pate in Let’s Grow To­gether. En­joy play, songs, rhymes, ac­tiv­i­ties, and sto­ries to­gether. Ac­cess in­for­ma­tion and re­sources to help your child de­velop on track in the ar­eas of: fine mo­tor skills, gross mo­tor skills, prob­lem solv­ing, so­cial emo­tional de­vel­op­ment, and speech & lan­guage. This free pro­gram runs for only two more weeks, on Thurs­day af­ter­noon from 12:45 un­til 2:15, Oc­to­ber 18/25. On Oc­to­ber 18, we are de­lighted to have Jodi from Shin­ing Stars share a demon­stra­tion of one of her mu­sic pro­grams.

You can bring home your own “Pump­kins at Mid­night” can­vas from the Rockyford Li­brary’s Paint Night in the Vil­lage, Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 25, 7:00 p.m. This reg­is­tra­tion fee cov­ers the cost of all of your sup­plies and some in­struc­tion. You don’t need any pre­vi­ous knowl­edge or ex­pe­ri­ence to join in the fun. Please reg­is­ter in ad­vance at the Rockyford Li­brary (403-533-3964) as space is lim­ited.

Learn ba­sic com­puter func­tions, skills, and terms at Wheat­land Fur­ther Ed­u­ca­tion So­ci­ety’s Begin­ner Com­puter Skills ses­sion over two evenings at the Rockyford Li­brary. The two classes will be on Oc­to­ber 18 and 25, from 6:30 p.m. un­til 8:30 p.m. A cer­tifi­cate of com­ple­tion will be pre­sented to par­tic­i­pants who com­plete both evenings.
