Winter arrived in Delia with a flourish in the wee hours of Friday morning, with high winds, snow and blowing snow. Must have started with rain showers because the roads and streets have an icy undercoat under that snow. Drive with care out there.
The Village Council will host a town meeting at the Drop In Centre at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, November 22. Results of the first Town Hall meeting on April 4 will be heard, plus the Community Development Officer will attend again. Be sure to attend and give the Village Council your suggestions and feedback.
Coffee mornings are on Tuesday and Thursday at the Drop In Centre, starting at 9 a.m. Come for coffee and a game of pool or cards or just have a visit over coffee. Memberships are now due, consider becoming a member of the Centre. New members are always welcome.
The card night (or crib night) will be held on Wednesday, November 28, at 7 p.m. at the Drop In Centre this month. Note the day change. You can play the card game of your choice. Refreshments to follow.
The November Birthday Party for members and friends at the Drop In Centre will be held on Tuesday, November 27, during coffee time, with Eleanor and Pat as hostesses for the party. Come for cake and a fun morning. Everyone is welcome.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Terry Trefz who is recovering from surgery at the Foothills in Calgary. Hope to see you back home soon and feeling fine!
Friday, November 23 is Ladies craft night out at the Library at 5:30 p.m. Come make a rustic lasso wreath creation. The library will provide the lasso, you bring your own decorations to personalize your wreath to your taste. Refreshments and goodies will be provided. Contact the library to preregister.
There will be a “Retiring without Debt” video conference at the library on Monday, November 26, at 6:30 p.m. Makerspace Madness at the library on Friday, November 30. Come create from 3:30 to 6 p.m.
