Pretty cold this past Sunday on waking up at -16 on our thermometer, brrrr. Makes a person just want to burrow into a blanket and watch a good program on the telly. Sure am glad we got all outside decorating done before the snow came again. The snow sure makes all the lights look pretty.
There will be a Christmas Cookie Walk and tea at the Carbon Community Church on December 1 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free tea and cookies and there will also be an assortment of Christmas cookies available for purchase. An easy way to do your baking for the season.
It was wonderful to see everyone out shopping at the Carbon Library Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, the kids had fun seeing Santa and going on sleigh rides. Good to see all the vendors and shoppers there. The concession was a busy place too.
There will be a Christmas Light Display Contest between Carbon and Linden. Nice to see all the lights going up around our Village. The Carbon Lions Club is also having a Christmas Light Contest for our Village.
Happy Birthday wishes and Happy Anniversary to everyone celebrating this week.
Did you know that the Carbon settlement was in existence at least 25 years prior to the coming of the railroad?
