re-open at noon on Tuesday, January 8th for staff holidays. No items will be due during that time frame.
Rockyford Library is excited to be participating in Christmas Commotion this year. We have a special guest, Calum Lykan, a traditional Scottish storyteller. He will be at the library from 1:30 until 4:30 on Saturday, December 8.
A new policy regarding unaccompanied minors visiting the library comes into effect, January 8, 2019. Children under the age of ten will have to be accompanied by a caregiver at least twelve years of age. Children aged 10+ are welcome to visit the library without caregiver supervision.
Don’t forget to buy your raffle ticket from the library for a chance to win a Kobo Aura One e-reader, storage case AND a $25 gift certificate. Only 330 tickets are being sold. This is a great gift idea for yourself and someone you know who loves to read. The winning ticket will be drawn at Christmas Commotion.
The books nominated for the Young Reader’s Choice Award for 2019 will all be available for one month, beginning December 4, at the Rockyford Library for borrowing. The award offers three annual awards for books selected by schoolchildren residing in Alaska, Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, and Washington. Anyone in Grades 4 through 12 who has read (or has heard read) at least one of the titles from the list may vote for their choice. For more information, drop in and visit the library (open Tuesdays, noon to 6; Wednesdays/Thursdays, 2 to 8).
