The Drumheller Mail - - NEWS - Submitted

On December 10, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Hanna RCMP located a stolen truck on Highway 589 and Range Road 164, east of Byemoor.

While waiting for the stolen truck to be towed, police observed a suspicious vehicle approaching the area and attempted to stop it. The vehicle then fled the scene and a short pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended when the police vehicle collided with the suspect vehicle sustaining extensive damage. The suspect vehicle continued to flee the area and was not located.

The suspect vehicle is described as a Ford F250/F350, white with grey/black trim on the bottom of the doors and around the wheel wells. There is damage on the rear left tire well and bumper and it was last seen travelling southbound on Highway 851 towards Highway 9.

No police officers or members of the general public were injured in this matter.

Hanna RCMP is asking the public’s assistance for any information in relation to this incident or identifying those responsible. Please contact the Hanna RCMP at 403-854-3393 or your local police. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.
