The 9th Annual Rockyford Ladies Spring Gala will be held on Saturday, May 11 and feature “The Travelling Mabel’s”. The theme this year is “Celebrating 100 Years of Fashion”, which is very much a tribute to our Village’s 100th Anniversary! Pick a year and show us your style. The Hussar Sundowners would like to remind all seniors of their upcoming musical event on Thursday, April 11 starting at 7 p.m. at the Hussar Hall.

The Friendship Centre will be hosting their Soup Day on Wednesday, April 10 at noon. Everyone is welcome.
Family Paint on April 13 (10 until noon) will feature an Easter-themed painting. Register in advance. This is a great opportunity for the entire family to share some time together. The library will open at 9:30 a.m. on this Saturday.
On Thursday, April 18, at 7:00 p.m., paint a canvas in acrylics. In keeping with our unpredictable “spring” weather, participants will paint a beautiful image of spring tulips dusted by snow. Anyone aged 16+ is welcome to register at the library. No previous knowledge or experience is required, and instruction and all supplies are provided.
There are a lot of fun activities at the library during the Easter week break. Tuesday, April 23, Christopher Cool will offer a magic workshop for anyone aged 7+. Space is limited so register in advance if you are interested. Following the workshop, everyone is invited to a free magic show presented by Christopher Cool, from 2:30 until 3:10. On Wednesday, April 24, beginning at 4:00 p.m., kids can create their own personal stencilled cushion. Please register early as space is limited. Stay tuned for information about available stencil samples. Finally, on Thursday afternoon, beginning at 3:00, participants can create a stencilled wooden sign. Stencil choice can be made at the time of registration. Each person will be provided a board, a choice of up to four colours, and instruction on how to complete the project.
