Editor The Drumheller Mail

Dear Editor;

I would like to draw everyones attention to the garbage on our highways. I ride a bicycle from Munson to Drumheller quite frequently. As a slower speed traveller on our highways, it is embarrassing to me and should be to all Albertans the amount of garbage that has accumulated on the side of the road. It is not just the odd driver who throws his beer, liquor can or bottle out the window to avoid the fine should he or she be stopped by the RCMP, it is all manner of garbage. If I, riding a bicycle, can find a way to not litter on the side of the road surely the rest of us who are in cars and trucks can hold on to our garbage until we get home. As for those drinking and driving I encourage you to seek help for your addiction. If you cannot refrain from consuming mind altering substances before driving you have a problem. Let us all do better and clean up or better do not mess up this beautiful Province. It is not the job of the boy scouts, 4H or any other service group to clean up af- ter us. You are either an adult and can clean up after yourself or you are not.
