I hope everyone enjoyed the Rockyford Lions 62nd Rodeo this past weekend. Special thanks are extended to the many community volunteers who made this annual event a success.
The Rockyford Lions Club is once again offering a one thousand dollar scholarship to a 2019 high school graduate (who resides in Rockyford) who will be attending a post secondary school this Fall. Applications are available by calling Randy Melcher.
Minecraft at the Rockyford Library event is on Wednesday, July 31, 3:30-5:00 p.m. Come learn and play the popular computer game for free but space is limited so call ahead to book your spot (403) 533-3964.
The Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition (TREX) Beyond the Patch: Stories from Wood Buffalo has arrived at the Rockyford Library. See the region from the point of view of its local artists’ drawings, paintings, and photographs. A truly Canadian experience and it’s free of charge!
The 4th Teen Summer Reading challenge is on! Between July 22 and August 2 submit a short story about an adventure you have had or that you would like to have. A winner will be chosen to receive a book-themed tote bag or reading gloves of their choice and extra points! Two runners-up will also receive extra points. The Rockyford Library paint nights and family paint nights are on hold until September.
