A hands-on approach to service
No one has to convince Alexandria’s OK Tire owner Stephane Aubin of the value of hard work.
On this particular day, he has spent much of his morning changing a tire on a tractor on a farm. He says he relishes that sort of work.
“I’m a hands-on guy,” he says, adding that it’s not uncommon for him to be on the road at 2 a.m. so he can give someone a tow or so he can change a tire on a tractor trailer.
His store, located at 3550 County Road 34 in Alexandria, provides employment for 10 people and offers pretty much everything tire-related and a whole lot more.
As far as tires go, OK Tire sells everything from brand new to transports to retreads. It also looks after brakes, exhaust, wheel alignments, steering and suspension, and other small mechanical repairs.
It provides tire service to farm machinery, RVs, tractor trailers and even services vehicles in the construction and mining industry.
Three years ago, Mr. Aubin bought Glen’s Towing which provides 24-hour roadside service.
EMERGENCY RESPONSE: Firefighters work to disable a horn that was activated after this vehicle was struck by another car in Alexandria last week.
