Sexual assault charges
A 42-year-old South Glengarry man has been charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation and forcible confinement following an Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police detachment investigation into a series of incidents that allegedly took place at a residence on Beaver Brook Road in South Glengarry late last year.
The investigation indicated that the suspect sexually assaulted a girl on several occasions between September and November 2014.
The SDG OPP detachment charged a 32-year-old man with three counts of spousal assault and one count of criminal harassment following a recent investigation into a domestic situation involving his ex-common-law wife at a residence on SDG Road 18 in South Glengarry.
The suspect, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of the victim, allegedly assaulted his former spouse on three occasions in 2012 and 2013 and recently harassed her through repeated communication.
He was subsequently released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall court March 3.
