Po­lice seek trailer thieves

The Cornwall Com­mu­nity Po­lice Ser­vice ar­rested an al­leged im­paired driver from North Lan­caster fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop near Thir­teenth and Lisieux Streets Jan­uary 31.

Bren­nan McDon­ald, 20, was charged with im­paired op­er­a­tion of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle and op­er­a­tion of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle with a blood-al­co­hol con­cen­tra­tion (BAC) ex­ceed­ing the le­gal limit of 80 mil­ligrams of al­co­hol per 100 millil­itres of blood.


A 17-year-old South Stor­mont male was re­cently charged with mis­chief un­der $5,000 and fail­ing to com­ply with a pro­ba­tion or­der fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent at a prop­erty on SDG Road 20 in South Glen­garry in mid- Jan­uary. The youth, who al­legedly broke into a ve­hi­cle and dam­aged its in­te­rior some­time on the night of Jan­uary 11-12, is sched­uled to ap­pear in Cornwall court Fe­bru­ary 12.

One trailer is a white 2015, 24-foot, en­closed, cus­tom-built, dou­ble-axle, ATC model, with a ball hitch, bear­ing On­tario li­cence plate M242D. The other is a black, 2014 Curtis dump-style trailer, with a ball hitch, tarp and roller, bear­ing On­tario li­cence plate M2398D.
