BY SEAN BRAY Sports Editor Glengarry District’s junior boys basketball team chalked up another win on Monday afternoon, concluding regular-season play with a 7-2 record.

What’s most remarkable about this, however, is that the team’s victories have come all in a row, after the boys dropped their first two matches of the season.

The most- recent triumph came against the Seaway Spartans, who managed a brief lead in the second quarter, before the Gaels went on to prevail handily, 53-33.

Dove Rickerd led the Glengarry offence, putting on a clinic with 34 points that included a trio of treys.

Xaavian Ali also had a pair of three- pointers, while Bailey Pidgeon and Odin Marfurt Breakenridge each sank one from beyond the arc.

Preceeding the junior tilt, the Glengarry seniors had the floor, where they played to a 47-24 victory over the Spartans.

Daryl Blondin had the hot hand from long range, draining five three-pointers to go along with one deuce, as he led GD scorers with 17 points.

The offence was well-distributed too, with most of the Gaels counting in the scoring

Glengarry’s senior squad, with the win on Monday, has a 3-5 record and will play its last game of the regular season on Thursday afternoon at St. Joseph’s in Cornwall.

The only losses for GD’s juniors this season came against Rothwell- Osnabruck and St.
